1st CSR Donors & Doers - The Art of Giving 2007

THEME : The Art of Giving
Date & Venue- 8th & 9th January 2007, New Delhi

The ‘Meet’ was aimed at sharing best practices to build a ‘strong public private partnership’ to set the motion of social sector development in lines with economic growth. It was commonly known by all that the outcome of the investment is poor because the activities are not planned on strategic lines and most importantly the result of the social sector is not an indicator of success either for government or for corporate houses.

The meet therefore recommended that the government and corporate house should first set their matrix right for results to automatically follow. The meet concluded on a positive note with all the participants returning with a contended heart that the meet was a great exposure to them.

The program was indulged by a large number of NGO’s like OSERD, Family of Disabled, Help-age, City & Guild, PRAYAS etc and was supported by DFID. The funding agencies like IOC, ONGC, GAIL India Ltd, THDC etc also participated and contributed on large scale.
